The digiSOUND5csc is the new RC car sound module from Mtroniks Ltd. It is the worlds first 100% waterproof, plug n play sound module designed to take the hassle out of giving your model a realistic sound! The sound module requires NO programming or set up, it comes with a realistic sound pre-installed leaving just the installation to complete before you can get under way! The unit comes complete with built in amplifier, wiring loom and even a 50.0mm diameter waterproof speaker!
You simply install the unit in your model and go! There is no complicated PC interface to deal with or complicated set up, you REALLY do just have to plug it in and go!!! Add this to the legendary Mtroniks waterproof construction and you really don't need to look any further!
The digiSOUND sound module for RC cars will work between 6.0 and 12.0V
This version of the digiSOUND comes with a pre installed V8 Race car sound effect complete with straight cut gear changes, up and down the throttle!!

NOTE: This recording was created using the standard speaker that comes included with the sound module, the quality of the sound you hear will depend very strongly on the speakers on your computer and may not give an accurate representation of the high quality sound you get from the digiSOUND system. Detailed specification of module and speaker
Module power output: 1.5 Watts RMS @ 7.2V (4 ohms), distortion typically 0.1%
5 Watts RMS @ 12V (4 ohms), distortion typically 0.1%
Speaker rating: 1.0 Watts RMS (8 ohms), It is possible to run 2 speakers in parallel (7.2V application)
The supplied speaker is 1.0 Watt RMS, 8ohms. These are for use on 7.2V installations. Up to 2 speakers can be run in parallel (See image of 2 speakers mounted in a short course truck bodyshell, this is the best way to mount 1 or 2 speakers in your RC car bodyshell as it gives the speakers the best chance of creating a realistic sound with bass - Please note, only 1 speaker is supplied with the sound modue system, additional speakers are available) taking full advantage of the amplifier power at 7.2V. If you decide to run your sound module at 12V you will need to purchase a more powerful speaker or speakers due to the increased power available from the amplifier when running at 12.0V
Notes on speaker performance.
The 50.0mm speaker included with your module is waterproof so it is safe to use outside, you should always install your speaker into a suitable enclosure (your lexan bodyshell) to ensure the best power handling, frequency and bass response.
Note on throttle calibration.
The digiSOUND sound modules automatically detect if the motor that they are connected to is brushed or brushless.. It does this by looking at what it sees when you first apply throttle on your transmitter after switch on. To make sure that this selection is done correctly it is best to apply the first movement of throttle very slowly up to around 50% then return to neutral. After this point you can bash the throttle as hard as you like!!!!
