Brushless Speed Controls
Brushless Speed Controls are still relatively new to some areas of RC modelling, whilst in other areas such as RC Aircraft they have been around for some time now!
Mtroniks have been designing, manufacturing and continuosly improving their Brushless Speed Controls for the last five years. All of the Brushless Speed Controllers designed by Mtroniks use 'Sensorless' technology, this has been used for many years and to great success in the RC Aircraft arena and is 'The weapon of choice' for most electric flight enthusiasts. Mtroniks actually designed the bespoke Brushless Controller that was used to achieve the cross channel world record with an electric RC aircraft earlier this year (2007).
Brushless Speed Controls are still to prove themselves in other areas of RC modelling such as RC Cars and RC Boats but are becoming more and more accepted as time and improvements move on.
Brushless Speed Controls are designed to either use sensors located in the Brushless Motor (Sensored Brushless Control) or instead to sense the position of the motor using software, removing the need for sensors (Sensorless Brushless Control). All of the Mtroniks Brushless Speed Controls use Sensorless technology, this is proven to be the most efficient and cool running method.
Sensorless has, in the past been accused of not being as smooth or not as responsive to throttle commands, this is now an opinion of the past! The Mtroniks Genesis range of Brushless Speed Controls has a perfected and proven start up and smooth throttle control, which is now no different to that which you would expect form a Brushed Speed Control.
With the Mtroniks Genesis Brushless Speed Controls you get the feel of a Brushed Speed Control with all the advantages of Sensorless Brushless Control! Greater run times, greater efficiency, very little maintenance and since they are sensorless they will replace an existing Brushed Speed Control install one for one without the need for all the sensor wires!!
