Manufacturers Guarantees and Extended Warranties
What does the Warranty actually cover?
The manufacturers will supply a warranty in addition to your rights under the Sales of Goods Act. In most cases you’ll receive a 1 year warranty covering all parts and labour. The unit must be used in compliance set out by the manufacturer in the instruction book.
Items sold by Appliance Direct Morecambe are designed solely for domestic use and in domestic premises; i.e. not for commercial or trade use.
All repairs required under the warranty period are to be done by either the manufacturer’s service engineers or their third party representatives. A manufacturer supplied warranty does not cover misuse, accident, modified or repairs by anyone other than the manufacturer's service engineers.
What if the product cannot be repaired?
If this is the case, or it is beyond economical repair, a like for like exchange would be processed, should the unit be no longer available we would offer a replacement product up to the original purchase value of the unit to be replaced. In extreme circumstances where a product cannot be exchanged or replaced, we may, at our discretion offer a refund via the form of a credit note, which can be redeemed at Appliance Direct Morecambe at any future date as a credit note has no expiry.
Additions To A Standard Warranty
Certain manufacturers offer a further free extended warranty on their products, this is subject to registration by the purchaser usually within 28 days of purchase. We do not take responsibility for unregistered free warranty claims.
